Sewer Clean Out

Sewer clean outs are extremely important and can save you a lot of money. The purpose of a sewer clean out is to give plumbers access to your sewer system without ripping up your yard. This allows us to unblock a clog, locate where your lines are, utilize a camera so see underground, and can relieve sewer pressure in the event of a full house backup.

Current code says there should be one every 100ft but this can vary in each area. Ideally, you would want one right outside your home, at least every 100ft, and before you reach the curb.

There are different types of clean outs. Clean & Clear Plumbing uses a two-way clean out unless otherwise specified. This lets us send a sewer machine or camera in either direction, giving us more access to where the issue may be. The one pictured here is a one way clean out.
